ST MAMBO TEAM ISRAEL " CONFIRMED!" STmambo (Sabarov Tamir) Dance company is the first and only mambo dance company in Israel. It was founded in 2006 by Tamir Sabarov, and is now the only salsa school in Israel where you can learn the “New York” style. Tamir is STmambo’s director and soul choreographer, as well as instructor and performer. Tamir started dancing at the age of six; he has background in figure skating, Jazz, Hip-Hop and acting. it was clear from the beginning; he was born to be on the stage. When he was 18, Tamir found his true love – Salsa. He started teaching N.Y style, Cuban Style, L.A Style and more at the biggest salsa clubs in Israel. At the age of 23 Tamir has established his own dance studio – The studio of STmambo, in the center of Israel. If you catch a show or a workshop by Tamir, you will be exposed to his unique smooth style, emotional connection to the music, strong body movements, original spinning styling and his own developed techniques. They dance on 2, and their style has been described as very energetic Bronx Street Style of dancing, filled with series of spins, turns combos, counter turns and hand changes. Aponte is two times winner of World Salsa Championships, prestigious titles to add to his already abundant list of accomplishments. Classes in Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop, Swing, Hustle, Flamenco and Afro Cuban Rumba, ensued at various schools throughout Puerto Rico, including Bailos, New Attitude, Conservatorio de Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, and Dance Machine, and New York City at Broadway Dance Center, Steps and Eglevsky Ballet where he had a Summer Scholarships. In 1991, Aponte landed his first job as a professional dancer, and has not stopped working professionally since.
